Sharon started her career in radio over 25 Years ago. After approaching Guy Sharpe and Ray Butts about an opportunity, she became a Disc Jockey (air personality) on WSFT Radio located in Thomaston. In January 1958, she came to Manchester to host the Sharon Castell's Rock and Roll Show on WFDR-AM. After marrying, she retired from radio for approximately 10 years. In 1973, she return to WFDR hosting a country music show for around 10 years. In 2007, Jeff Tate and Bear O'Brian discussed with her about hosting Saturday Night Live Country Classics Show on Mountain 94.5 WFDR-FM. In January, 2008 the new show began and you can still hear her every Saturday night from 6:00pm to 10:00pm with all the Country Music classics.
